This past week has been one of the most dangerous in our generation, as tensions between Israel, the United States, and Iran escalated rapidly, sparking fears of a wider war. What started as a regional clash quickly spread across the Middle East like wildfire, pulling other nations into the conflict. According to various reports, between six and nine countries have already been targeted or hit, including Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.
By the third day of the war, an Iranian missile struck Cyprus, prompting a swift response from several European countries. Greece, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom sent forces to Cyprus in reaction to the attack.
Meanwhile, Israel struck Hezbollah targets in Beirut and across Lebanon in response to the rocket fire.
At the same time, Kurdish forces in northern Iraq also became involved in the conflict by launching attacks against Iran.
By the second day of the war, the U.S. government issued an urgent warning for its citizens to leave much of the Middle East immediately. The advisory listed fifteen countries, affecting hundreds of thousands of Americans, including more than 200,000 in Israel.
The humanitarian impact has also been significant. In Iran, approximately 100,000 people fled Tehran within the first 48 hours of the war, while in Lebanon, reports indicate that as many as 300,000 people have been displaced by the fighting.
International tensions continue to rise. On the third day of the conflict, as France deployed its aircraft carrier to the Mediterranean, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France would increase its nuclear warhead stockpiles. Our world does not seem to be getting any better, does it?
We can also thank God that the two other major world powers have not gotten involved in this conflict: Russia and China, which many prophecy students associate with the King of the North and one of the Kings from the East mentioned in Scripture.
And China might have found a reason to get involved: Let’s not forget that, by now, the United States has removed two leaders who were considered friendly to China: those of Venezuela and Iran, countries that together supplied about 17% of China’s oil imports.
Furthermore, Iran was also reportedly close to acquiring supersonic anti-ship missiles from China, weapons that would have been very difficult to intercept. Although predicted by Bible prophecies, the timing of China’s and Russia’s involvement does not appear to have occurred yet.
Regarding Europe, we’ve already seen surprising divisions among NATO members, but this time it took a more urgent turn.
On the third day of the war, Spain refused to allow the United States to use its military bases, a decision that angered Washington. The United Kingdom seemed hesitant or slow to permit the use of British bases for the strikes. Meanwhile, Canada’s prime minister stated that the Israel–U.S. strikes on Iran appeared to be inconsistent with international law.
Such disagreements shouldn’t surprise us. If NATO signals a future Western alliance, the final confederation described in prophecy won’t consist of the current 32 NATO members but only 10 nations. This aligns with Daniel’s vision of the ten toes of the great statue and his and John’s vision of the ten horns of the coming beast.
We also sense that the course of this war has taken unexpected turns that have puzzled world leaders. Even before the conflict began, U.S. President Donald Trump questioned why Iran hadn’t “capitulated” under the intense American military buildup aimed at pressuring Tehran into accepting a nuclear deal. His envoy Steve Witkoff explained in an interview: “I don’t want to use the word ‘frustrated,’ but he’s curious as to why they haven’t… capitulated.”
They often overlook that this war involves more than just armies, aircraft, ships, and missiles. It also has a spiritual dimension. According to the Scriptures, a fierce spiritual battle is happening behind the scenes of history as the world moves toward a final global conflict. However, the Bible also states that this won’t be the end of the story because Yeshua, Jesus Himself, promised that He will return to end these wars.
And while this war is ongoing, another conflict is also intensifying — one we’re familiar with but that is escalating over time: antisemitism. This time, it appears to be becoming more visible even in the United States, though in subtle ways.
We have previously highlighted three influential media figures who are increasingly opposing Israel: Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and Megyn Kelly. Why are these voices important? Collectively, they reach over 45 million followers, mainly in the United States, with much of their audience aged 18 to 44.
This suggests that Israel’s only remaining support in the Western world is weakening, and that the atmosphere could gradually shift toward the situation described in Scripture, where all the nations gather against Jerusalem.
Recently, these commentators and others have increasingly accused Israel of dragging the United States into the war, claiming that the strikes were launched mainly to benefit Israel and at the expense of American lives.
This type of claim echoes patterns that have appeared throughout history and may signal that Israel is once again becoming a global scapegoat as tensions rise around the world.
This hostility is not limited to the West; it is also spreading to other parts of the world. A recent report by the Jewish People Policy Institute highlights a surprising trend: antisemitism is rising in China. This is notable because there are fewer than 3,000 Jews in the country, and China has long been considered largely free of anti-Jewish hostility.
Today, however, anti-Jewish narratives have moved from fringe online communities into mainstream public platforms, appearing in media, academic debates, and even some government-aligned commentary.
When we observe attitudes like these spreading worldwide, we can’t help but recall the words of the prophet Zechariah, who said that Jerusalem would one day become a heavy stone for all nations.
Where, then, is our world headed? Are the events we see unfolding today just random, or were they predicted long ago?
When we observe the events happening around us today, it’s hard to ignore that the Bible predicted these times long ago. And it didn’t do so with vague language or uncertain predictions. Instead, the Scriptures give prophecy with remarkable clarity and accuracy, pointing to specific moments in history when many prophetic threads come together to form a clear picture. Today, we will look at several of these prophecies, especially the one that will trigger the last 7 years, and see how they unfold step by step.
