I am currently reading a two set books written in the 1700’s by a Jewish Jesuit named Manuel Lacunza whom I mentioned previously but I just got hold of his books. You probably ask: How does a Jew turn out to be a Jesuit?
The reason is because his parents were forced to convert to Catholicism during the Spanish Inquisition of 1492. Through the years though, they kept their Jewishness in secret.
But see what this man who joined the Jesuit order taught. He revived the doctrine of the Rapture and of the teaching that the Jewish nations will rise again. And all of this according to prophecy. Of course, this did not sit well with the Catholic Pope and so he was banned and had to flee to Italy where he wrote the book: The Coming of Messiah in Glory and Majesty. The reason why I mention him is because today many are saying that the idea of the Rapture is new and was invented by Darby and others. This is a strong biblical doctrine whose reality is found in the H.S. and today, we may very well be the generation that will experience it.
