Let’s take a quick look at an important global statistic. The world’s population has now reached 8 billion people. Mazal Tov to all of you!

That is a lot of souls. According to BBC if one were to take a picture of each person living, that is, one picture every second, it would take 253 years to snapshot all the 8 billion people. And what is so astonishing is that, and according to the Bible’s calendar, it took about 10,000 years for this earth to house its first billion people, and that number was reached, not too long ago, back in 1804. But incredibly, now after a little over 200 years from that point, the population jumped to 8 billion people.

While they predict that the growth will slow down as people are having less children, it is still growing by the second. When you consider this growth, this huge number, it may seem scary, but there is room for everybody and there is food for everyone. God promised that while the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22

So, there is going to be enough food until the end, however the problem is managing the production of food so that the great biblical principle in the Torah could be in view, which says: he who had gathered much had no excess, and he who had gathered little had no lack; (Exodus 16:18). However, as  Judeo-Christian values are being suppressed, carrying through with this mindset will become even more difficult as our situation worsens.

While we have an earth that provides plenty, today, 10% of the population suffers from hunger. Very sadly, this affects mainly children and with wars and climate change, we can expect this number to rise. As for us, while as a congregation, this past year we have helped many with material things, we should already be praying for the salvation of so many of these people on our planet.

Each is a soul that needs to come to a saving knowledge of the Messiah.

We can also rejoice concerning the prophecy which tells us that the greatest revival this world will experience is yet to come. It will occur during the Tribulation time and when John sees the number of people who are saved, he could not even count them. He said in Rev.7:9-10

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” So, when we read of this huge number of 8 billion, let us remember that the need of proclaiming His Word and praying increases with it.

Now, while some are praying for the salvation of souls, others are preparing for war and destruction. In other news, this week as well, Iran’s government, came up with a new deadly weapon which it calls 400 seconds to Tel Aviv. They say that the new hypersonic missile developed by the Islamic Republic could hit Israel within 400 seconds.

They say that the 400 seconds bomb is so well constructed that it can avoid most modern-day missile-defense systems. It has the capability of dodging and evading the radar altogether. But notice how they advertise it. They inserted Hebrew letters so that the threats could be read by Israelis that they could be terrified.

It seems that all this government is thinking about is to destroy Israel. This is expected because it follows the prophecies of the end times. They are so eager to begin the War of Gog and Magog that they have become obsessed by this desire. One thing to keep in mind though, is that with all their threats of superiority over Israel’s defense system, it is still unclear if this missile was successfully tested. Threats and war will inevitably come, but God is in charge of every event.

In fact, I would like to share with you an even greater event that took place yesterday during the outreach. One of our teams prayed with an Iranian woman that she would receive her Messiah. Isn’t that amazing and in spite of all the warfare going on, the Spirit of God has an offensive that will safeguard the souls of those who are thirsty and seeking the truth.

Yeshua said that we are the light of the world, and in seeing all these things, let us pray and act for He is coming soon.
