When dealing with the crucifixion and resurrection of Yeshua, we have more than a few good witnesses, including women! See what Mark 15:40-41 tells us,

There were also some women looking on from a distance, among whom were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the Less and Joses, and Salome.  When He was in Galilee, they used to follow Him and minister to Him; and there were many other women who came up with Him to Jerusalem.

After the trial and the crucifixion, this is such a breath of fresh air. Of the many women that were there, only three are named. That is in keeping with the requirement of the law which says that …on the evidence of two or three witnesses a matter shall be confirmed. Deut. 19:15b

These women had witnessed all the signs, the death and soon the resurrection of the Messiah.  And this is a major point when we consider that at the time, the witness of a woman was not accepted in the Jewish court nor was it accepted in Roman courts, unless it was a woman of social status. But with the Messiah we see an opening to a new era where there is no difference between male and female, between slave nor free (Gal 3:28) for the same Lord is Lord of all (Rom 10:12). For God and for us, their testimony is as valid as any other.

And the Spirit mentions that these women were with Yeshua since He was in Galilee, that is since the beginning of His ministry. They were there, helping and ministering to Him. But see that the Lord is … not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints. Hebrews 6:10

These women were dependable, reliable and God must have been touched by them and He was about to give them such a great gift; Yeshua was to appear first to them at the resurrection. There is so little we know of them, except their names, but the LORD knows them. As for us, we know that God also witnesses and records all the work we do for Him here our congregations and outside. We are encouraged to look up, to look beyond and realize that He is not unjust to forget our work and labor.

Every action done for the Kingdom of God is never for nothing, these are the things that amount to the best investment of our time, male and female alike.
