4 gift sets (2 French, 2 English), 1 Brit Chadashah, 6 English and 3 French pamphlets were given
A team of two ladies were out at a local shopping mall when they approached a woman who received the set in English. They spoke for about 10 minutes regarding the promises of the God of Israel. They explained the problem of Antisemitism and how it began with Moses when there was a national policy of murdering Jewish babies. They shared concerning Jewish persecution because the Messiah would come from Abraham’s loins. They told her how man would be reconciled and made righteous through the Messiah’s atonement. The woman responded that they were very brave to go out at this time, but the team said that they were comforted to bring the scriptures, speak of His word and offer strength and encouragement. They embraced each other and the woman was very grateful.
An English Brit Chadashah was given to a man and as he took the pamphlet, it appeared he was not interested. Suddenly he turned around and asked what it was he was holding. As there was a change in his attitude the ladies began to pray that his heart would be softened and they encouraged him to read Isaiah 53.
A set was then given to a woman who was in a hurry but consented to take it after she found out it was free.
A set was then given to man from Morocco. They told him that the Tanakh held the prophesies of the first coming and that the smaller book showed the fulfillment of those prophesies. He looked through the pages and although he originally wanted only the Brit Chadashah, after seeing the gift bag, he changed his mind and received the Tanakh as well. He was given a bookmark and pamphlet and shown how he could become cleansed, made righteous through the Messiah. He was very thankful.
A French set was offered to a woman as well as an Antisemitism pamphlet. Stating that she was angry at Abraham, the team asked if it was because of Ishmael and Hagar. She agreed to that, and they comforted her by saying that the scriptures would reveal the truth to her. They spoke of David and Bathsheba’s sin and how God worked through grace and led this couple to find the redemption as seen in Isaiah 53. She was told that they believe the Messiah has already come and that He will come again to reign in Israel. A contact card was given to allow her husband to visit the website as well. The team said that it was a beautiful visit.
The team is very thankful for their outings. They did encounter one woman, who started calling them missionaries and warning the person who they were speaking with, not to listen to them. Apart from that, the day went very well, and they are grateful for your prayers.
