6 gift sets, 86 anti-Semitism pamphlets and 1 English Brit Chadashah were given.
On a wonderfully sunny day a team of three ladies went to a local shopping mall where they met a Jewish woman who took the pamphlet saying that her son just the day before experienced bullying and had to go the principal. She was grateful to receive the Word of God that gave her a semblance of peace.
Another young woman taking the pamphlet was asked if she believed in Yeshua. Her astounding answer was, “Yes, he is the Jewish Messiah”. She confessed that she sometimes prays in Yeshua’s name and said that her family had died in the Holocaust. One of the team members shared her own testimony of going through a difficult period and how she came to have a personal relationship with Yeshua. During the conversation the woman never denied Yeshua once and questioned about her sister who is very religious but does not believe in the Messiah. This woman was told that there was a partial blindness over Israel as Yeshua had offered the religious and civil leaders His kingdom but many rejected Him. The team member shared her phone number and they agreed to meet for further talks. Praise God for this woman’s open heart.
A Muslim man from Lebanon was given the Isaiah 53 leaflet. The member shared the gospel as he was willing to listen and said that he recognized that sin blocked the way to Yeshua! As she shared the gospel his eyes began to tear up. Then the team member asked if he wanted to say the prayer of salvation with her. He agreed but did not speak it out load. He received a bible and was given our contact information and website. This was a sweet and touching encounter.
A Jewish man receiving the pamphlet said that this was good timing as he was doing research about Judaism and the Kabbala. He was then offered the Brit Chadashah and thanked the team member for the gift.
While offering a set to a Jewish woman another team member saw a huge truck pull up and a couple and their daughter step out from the back. Offering the anti-Semitism pamphlet the man said he did not speak English or French but Ukrainian. Just then the driver, a woman approached and explained that they were staying with her until they get settled in Canada and while offering a hug to this woman, she was told to contact us for any needs she may have for them and offered her contact information. They were on their way to an appointment at the bank so no further conversation was had. Please pray that they will reach out to us for practical and spiritual needs.
Sunday, May 1st
57 Anti-Semitism pamphlets, 5 full sets, 1 French bible and 1 Brit Chadashah were given.
An agnostic woman listened as the team told her about the gospel of Yeshua and commented that her sister converted to Judaism in order to get married. She took a set and said she would give it to her sister in Toronto. The woman however, did not take a bible for herself. Please pray for her.
A Pilipino man received the pamphlet and said he had heard the gospel and that his mother was Catholic so he was led through the gospel and having permission to pray for him she prayed that the door to this man’s heart be opened. Stating that this was the first time someone prayed for him, he felt relief somehow. Please pray that he comes to know Yeshua as his Saviour. Sets were given to a Middle Eastern man and another to a Jewish man.
A French set was given to a man from Morocco who believed in God but not in religion. A conversation on religion versus relationship with Yeshua took place and how we are separated from God because of sin. He was given a bookmark and told that good works cannot save anyone. They told him that only the hope of God can accomplish that kind of work and it is only by faith that are we saved through His grace, to which the man agreed. He was asked if he wanted a visit but he said he wanted to read the pamphlet first. He was given the contact and website information.
A team member noticed a woman limping with a cane through the parking lot and struck up a conversation while continuing to walk slowly with her which allowed for a longer conversation. She exclaimed how disgusting anti-Semitism was although she herself was an English Canadian and Roman Catholic. We asked if she knew she would go to heaven if she died that night and she readily admitted that she didn’t know. She asked if we had a car and could we drive her home, just a block away. Before leaving the quiet of the parking lot, we went over the full plan of salvation using a gospel tract. By the end of our time together, she prayed for eternal pardon and said she would like to listen to our radio shows in the future. She exclaimed how grateful she was to have met us. May the seed that sprang to life in “G’s” heart bear much fruit.
