46 English and 8 French pamphlets, 2 gift sets (1 English and 1 Hebrew/Russian) and 1 book of Matthew in Hebrew were given.

A team of three ladies were out on this unusually hot and quiet day. Although there were many conversations, only a few people accepted the gift sets. However, a woman from Israel had a long conversation with a team member and was very thankful to receive the small book of Matthew in Hebrew which was offered to her.

A couple was approached in the parking lot. They were just getting out of a car of which they were passengers. The woman explained, in a heavily accented English, that she, her husband and two children had just arrived from Ukraine just a week earlier. She willingly accepted the antisemitism pamphlet saying that her father’s side of the family was Jewish. She also gladly accepted the gift set in Hebrew/ Russian, the Isaiah 53 pamphlet and a bookmark.  The husband was going for an interview at the bank and was anxiously waiting for the appropriate moment to go inside. It was at that point when the man who had driven this family to the parking lot began to ask me about the sets and the pamphlet.  He mentioned that he was a Christian and confessed that he should be reading his bible more often. We offered him one in French. He was astonished to receive this gift and bowed and gratefully thanked us.

A French Pilipino woman who was walking toward the grocery store stopped and received an English tract called Steps to Peace. She mentioned she was Catholic. She accepted the tract, saying that she would read it when she got home.

An elderly man from Morocco who spoke Hebrew was standing next to his car as one member of the team approached.  Taking the pamphlet, he said that he used to teach in the synagogue and that his family was very involved in their faith community.  He was shown the scriptures concerning the prophesies about the coming Messiah. He was then handed a Brit Chadashah and was told that this would inform him of the prophesies being fulfilled and that the Messiah had come and will come again.  He nodded his head at this statement as if he knew of this and did not complain but took the entire set, got in his car and thanking the member, waved goodbye.

A team member met a woman who said she was from Ukraine and was presently working with a holocaust survivor.  She listened as she was told about the gospel of Jesus the Messiah and His completed work for our sins.  She was told that Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life and although she did not seem to understand sin and its consequences, she nevertheless listened and was thankful for the time we took to explain this to her.

Soon after, a woman was approached who sadly told us that she had lost her daughter just a few days before and that she was grieving.  She was offered a bible which she received.

A non-religious Muslim man was approached who said he wanted to

know more about Jesus and the Messiah.  He was encouraged to go online on our website where he could receive more teaching.

6 gift sets given (4 at one shopping mall and 2 at another)

It was a beautiful day and a team of two went out to a shopping mall. The first woman they met was a holocaust survivor and she shared her story with them. She did receive the set they offered her.

Likewise, another woman who worked at the Holocaust Museum received a set and was very thankful.

Later they met an older couple who had many Jewish friends.  They were very kind and received the gift set to give to some Jewish friends they were planning to visit that week. The team encouraged the couple themselves to read Isaiah 53 and then offer it to their friends. They had a nice exchange about the Messiah.

Approaching a man, the team learned that he had lost his wife the year before. Although he was having difficulty hearing, he listened as best he could.  He took a gift set for a friend with whom he goes bowling each week. As he continued listening to the ladies speak about the Messiah, he acknowledged that he was a sinner.  He said a short prayer with the ladies confessing his sin and wanting to receive Jesus as Savior. Because of his hearing impairment it was difficult to continue the conversation, so he was encouraged to visit the website and follow the teachings there.

Finally, a Jewish woman who was married to an atheist wanted to take the set but seemed afraid to do so and therefore declined the offer. She was given the congregation’s contact and website information and given a pamphlet as well.

All the team members want to express their gratitude for all the prayers and support we receive from you. Thank you!
