In terms of antisemitism, they shared that the first church was made up of Jewish men and women and that the New Testament was written by Jewish men. They assured him that God’s promises would come to pass. They asked if they could pray for him and he asked for prayer for the elderly. The team of two ladies went on to tell him that God was there for the broken hearted, the needy, the widows and orphans.  Please pray for this man.

Thursday, June 30th

37 pamphlets (25 Eng., 12 Fr), 4 gift sets, 1 Brit Hadassah and 1English bible were given out.

Two ladies went out on this day and God provided good weather for their outing.

They first met a Jewish woman who took the Isaiah 53 leaflet, the bookmark and the gift set and when asked if she believed that Yeshua was the Messiah replied that she did not believe it. They were still about to point out the scriptures which spoke of the Messiah and they showed her when He had come and fulfilled some of these prophecies.

Next, they met a man from Israel. He had lived there for 20 years and has been residing in Canada these past 40 years. While living over there in the Land, he served in the IDF during the Six Day War. Hearing this they blessed and thanked the man and told him that God had blessed Israel and that the Scriptures pointed out that these people were the apple of God’s eye. He received a set in French and as they spoke about the Messiah he was shown the verses that described His coming and the fulfillment of those prophesies. He was informed about how many prophets were killed by Hebrew leaders yet God promised that He would cover His people. The gentleman listened and received the Isaiah 53 leaflet and bookmark. Please pray that this man’s heart be softened towards his Messiah.

They then met a Christian Lebanese woman who overheard the conversation going on and was very excited to hear more about this outreach work. She was directed to seek out our website and join us for our Shabbat services.

A Jewish man whose family went through the Holocaust shared his story with the ladies. Half of his family did not survive the Shoah (Hebrew for catastrophe) and he said that he was broken. They asked him if he believed in Yeshua and he bent over before replying that he did not know what to believe saying, “I don’t know, I’m so broken”. The team shared that there would always be a remnant within Israel (those who believe).

The team was thankful that there was no opposition and that the Lord had blessed them with many conversations.

On that same day another team of two went out and were privileged to distribute 27 pamphlets. One of the team members was a woman from Italy who had come to Montreal on her way to Bible camp (Camp Shoshanah) in New York State. In her own hometown she is not allowed to distribute literature on the streets so she was very blessed to see the freedom we can work under here in Montreal.

Please pray for continued protection and permission given to these teams to go to shopping centers or parks and to keep up the distribution.
