5 sets, 2 Tanakh, 1 Bible were given plus1 Salvation

This team of two was in two places on this day, and at the first location, they met three African men standing around their car and sharing a laugh as the team approached. One man, a Nigerian, was very interested in hearing about God’s word and Yeshua in particular. All three men took an antisemitism pamphlet, but only the Nigerian wanted to receive a Bible. He also took a contact card and was shown where he could listen to the pastor’s messages. He was very thankful for the conversation and the gift and said he would definitely look up the website.

A man from Morocco was approached at his car, and he accepted the antisemitism pamphlet. He told the team that he was a believer who loved having personal time with God each morning. He mentioned that he had small children, and one of the team members encouraged him to pray for his children every day. The team prayed for him and his family before they left.

The team met a Jewish woman who did not want to talk to them, but a few steps away, a Jewish man had been listening to the conversation and said he would like to talk with them. They discussed the Messiah being Yeshua and that He was the living water. He agreed with them about the Messiah, stating, “He is the Messiah of Israel and of the whole world!” He received a booklet in French and was encouraged to contact the pastor and visit the congregation. This man also mentioned that he had noticed many Jewish people were turning to Yeshua and becoming Messianic, so they asked him if he wanted to say the salvation prayer. He did not agree but asked for prayer that he would receive a revelation of Yeshua. He then shared that he had met Christians who were pro-Israel and was very appreciative of that. It was a very deep and encouraging conversation.

The team then went to a second mall where they met a Jewish woman who accepted the Sukkot pamphlet and a pin, was very happy during a short conversation about the Messiah, and hugged the members.

A Jewish man was approached and he immediately accepted the Tanakh. He expressed concern about the world situation and Israel. He said he wanted to give the Tanakh to his son, and then he was offered the Brit Chadashah, which he took for himself, along with two pins. They spoke at length about Israel.

A taxi driver was sitting in his car with his window open when the team approached him to offer a Sukkot pamphlet. He began speaking in Hebrew to them, and to their surprise, he was willing to discuss Sukkot, the kapar (atonement) with God’s protection for the children of Israel, and the coming of the Messiah. He then accepted the Tanakh and Brit from them and said a blessing over them. As they stepped away from the car, another vehicle with a Jewish woman in it was pulling out but stopped to speak with the team. She smiled and accepted the Sukkot pamphlet and a Tanakh. She was given the contact card and a pin as well.

A set was given to a Jewish woman who said her mother was Jewish. She mentioned that she listened to the teachings of Pastor Gabizon and wanted very much to speak with him. She took the set and contact card and was told she could call him at the office. It was a delightful conversation.

Then, one set was given to a Jewish, Greek man who owned a nearby business. He was out that day passing out his business pamphlets. As he approached the team, they told him they had a better pamphlet for him. He laughed and gladly accepted it. Looking at the pamphlet, he mentioned that his family was from Thessaloniki, Greece, and that they had fled the country due to persecution. He explained that some of his family remained Jewish, while others became Christian. When asked if he believed Yeshua was the Messiah, he agreed, saying he believed. They discussed the Messiah and having a personal relationship with Him, and asked if he would like to pray that prayer. He was eager to accept Yeshua as his Savior. The team first led him in a prayer recognizing Yeshua as the Messiah, then asked him to speak the words as they prayed with him the prayer of repentance and acceptance of Yeshua. He was overjoyed and thankful for the prayer and invited the team to visit him at his work.

The team appreciated the many conversations and sets provided that day and thanked everyone who faithfully prayed for them.

2 sets, 2 Tanakh and 1 Bible were given by the first team. Team #2 gave out 3 sets and 1 Russian Bible.

There were two teams out on this beautiful October day. Unfortunately, at the end of the outing, two sets were left at the entrance of a grocery store. Therefore, in total, the two teams gave two sets, two Tanakhs and two Bibles.

The first set in Hebrew/English was given to a Jewish mother, and a second set in Hebrew/French was given to a Jewish man. They were very thankful and grateful for the gifts and received all the literature.

Another set was given to a young Jewish man, who confirmed that he was over 18 years old. He received one set in Hebrew and French and discussed with the team about the redemption available in Yeshua. He was also given the Isaiah 53 leaflet. He was very surprised when he received the Beth Ariel card and learned that the Rabbi was from Casablanca, Morocco. The young man mentioned that one of his parents was also from the same city. He was very polite, humble, and attentive to what was shared with him.

Another set was given in Hebrew/English to a Jewish woman who said she would give the set to her son. The team shared their faith in Yeshua, His two comings, and that it was always the minority that believed in this truth, and she mentioned she was waiting for the Messiah. They encouraged her to read the Scriptures. She received the Beth Ariel card and also two pins, one for her son and one for herself.

They met a political figure from Ottawa. One of the team members recognized him because he was at the Holocaust Museum during a conference. The team member thanked him for his support of Israel and handed him the antisemitism pamphlet so he could read what the Bible says about the subject, and also gave him the Beth Ariel card.

A Russian Bible was given to a man who was initially reluctant to speak with the team. He spoke very little English but was able to say that he spoke Russian. One of the team members went to get a Russian Bible for him. As soon as he saw it, he smiled and took the Bible, then shook their hands. They had several other encounters and conversations and were able to distribute many pamphlets and cards.

They thanked everyone who was praying for them and expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to share and spread His word. All the praise, glory, and honor belong to Him! Amen!

Team #2 reported that she gave a set to a young Jewish lady who was returning to Israel the following week and was very thankful that she could take the Tanakh with her.

One bible was given to a young lady, but there was no conversation.

She then handed a Tanakh to a woman who was very impressed with the quality of the gift and was also very thankful.

A second Tanakh was given to another person who was also grateful, but there was no conversation.

1 set, 1 Brit Chadashah and one Bible were given.

A set in Hebrew and French was given to a Jewish man. He showed strong interest and paid close attention during their talk. They discussed the false Messiah that many will believe in when the third Temple is built. They gave him the set and explained that specific prophecies in the Tanakh help identify who the Messiah is. As they handed him the Brit Chadashah, they shared that the prophecies about the first coming of the Messiah, Yeshua, were fulfilled in the Brit Chadashah. He said he wanted to learn more. They stressed the importance of staying in God’s word and gave him the Beth Ariel card. He was very thankful and engaged.

A Tanakh in Hebrew and English was given to a young Jewish man. The team noticed his wife waiting in the car for him. He was an eager listener as they asked him questions from the quiz on the card prepared for Sukkot. They discussed the importance of knowing the prophecies about the Messiah written in the Tanakh so one can recognize Him. They shared their faith in Yeshua and explained how he can read about Him and see the fulfillment of the prophecy of His first coming in the Brit. He received the Tanakh but gently told them he couldn’t have the New Testament in his house. He took two pins, one for himself and one for his wife. Unfortunately, after they finished their outing, they saw that the Tanakh had been left on the team member’s car windshield.

A Russian Bible was given to a Ukrainian woman who was Gentile and accompanied by her son. She was very happy to receive the Bible and shared how important it is to teach her children the Word of God. She received the Beth Ariel card and was very thankful.

One Brit Chadashah was given to an elderly Jewish woman who told them that all her family had died in the Holocaust and they were still very distressed and downcast. They shared how God in the Holy Scriptures revealed how He was afflicted when man was afflicted. She had a Tanakh but took the bookmark and Isaiah 53 leaflet. They were able to read some of the passages to her from the leaflet and shared their faith in Yeshua with her. She took the Beth Ariel card and a pin, and they were able to hug her before leaving.

The team had a lengthy conversation with a Jewish man who follows rabbinical Judaism. They enjoyed doing the quiz on the Sukkot card with him, but when he saw the last question and the choices regarding Yeshua as the Messiah, he responded that it was not Him. His comment led to a nearly 20-minute discussion. He mentioned the red heifer, and they shared the importance of knowing who the Messiah is, encouraging him to read the Tanakh. They thanked God for His protection during what was a very intense conversation. One member noticed a religious man looking at them, but he left, and there was also a religious man parked nearby. This man listened briefly as he stepped out of his car but departed without saying anything. The man they spoke with already had a Tanakh and did not want to take the Brit. He took the pamphlet for Sukkot and the Beth Ariel card and was encouraged to listen to the Rabbi’s testimony. They shook hands when they parted ways.
