1 set, 3 Tanakh and 1 Bible were given.

Two women were at a local mall on a nice, mild March day and spent the whole day there.

A Hebrew/French Tanakh was given to a Jewish Moroccan man. When they handed him a Passover pamphlet, he said he was questioning God about many issues. The team explained that sometimes people don’t understand why things happen and quoted Isaiah 55:8-9, emphasizing that the key is to always trust God’s goodness. They also mentioned there is no middle ground; it’s either light or dark. He responded that he still believed in God. Then, one team member shared that she was a Messianic Jew who believed Yeshua was the Messiah, but he disagreed, saying he did not believe that. They told him that a minority of people have always believed the truth found in God’s word and that true prophets of God were often killed by religious and civil leaders. She added that she was a Biblical, not a rabbinical, Jew, and he immediately understood. They discussed the divinity of Yeshua, citing Isaiah 9:6 and chapter 53. They explained that only the Messiah, Yeshua, can remove sins and make someone tsadik (righteous), and that good works alone can’t save a person. He took the Passover pamphlet, comfort card, and Tanakh but declined the Brit Chadashah. As he accepted the Beth Ariel contact card, they encouraged him to seek the truth and find true rest in God. It was nice to see him smiling as they shook hands and parted ways.

They met a woman who said she was from Gaza. She laughed at them when they handed her the antisemitism pamphlet and kept repeating, “Antisemitism, really, really?” They decided to walk to another section of the mall, and one of the members told the others that she had met the same woman the previous week, on the same day and roughly the same time during another outing, and that she had the same negative response.

A set in Hebrew and French was given to a Jewish Moroccan woman. She received a Passover pamphlet and the entire set with joy and gratitude. They showed her that a bookmark was placed in the passage of Isaiah 53 for her to read as well. As they read the Isaiah 53 leaflet to her, they shared how the Messiah could make her tsadik. She responded by saying she was open to reading and learning, saying, “The more you learn, the better.” She also accepted the comfort card and Beth Ariel contact card.

Two Tanakhs in Hebrew and French were given to two Jewish Moroccan women. They also received a Passover pamphlet, a comfort card, and the Beth Ariel card. They felt very joyful and grateful to receive these gifts as the team spoke about the importance of following God’s word. The team told these two women that the word of God had helped them stay courageous during difficult times as they pronounced blessings upon the children of Israel. They insisted on making a donation, but the team explained that the Tanakh was a gift provided by the SDHS. They blessed the team for their efforts.

An English Bible was given to an Italian woman who initially accepted the antisemitism pamphlet and shared that she had many prayer books but no Bible. They provided her with a Bible and the Beth Ariel contact card and explained what a Messianic Jewish congregation is. They emphasized the importance of knowing Yeshua/Jesus. The team asked her about religion, especially how many truths there are, and she replied that there is only one truth, found in the Scriptures. They encouraged her to read and listen to the messages on the website and invited her to visit Beth Ariel. She repeatedly said that she was very happy to have met them.

The team thanked God for the privilege of going out to share His precious word, for the beautiful day, and for everyone who received His word as well as those who prayed.

Praise be to God!
