3 sets, 1 Tanakh and 1 Bible were given. Many pamphlets were distributed.
A team of two was out at one of the local shopping areas. They had a conversation with a Russian, Jewish man who said he was Orthodox and did not believe that Yeshua/Jesus was the Messiah. They shared their stance on sin, the shedding of blood for the redemption of sins, and that through the Messiah, sin can be forgiven. They handed him the Isaiah 53 leaflet. He gave them a copy of a Russian newspaper and told them that he was the president. He was set in his ways but took the antisemitism pamphlet, the Isaiah 53 leaflet, and the Beth Ariel card.
The team met a journalist who worked for the Suburban Newspaper. They presented the antisemitism pamphlet, and he said he knew everything about the subject. He then asked the team whether they were aware of the chief heart surgeon’s departure from the Jewish General Hospital. He explained that the doctor had left Montreal and relocated to the United States because of antisemitism. They replied that they were aware of the situation and were handing out pamphlets so people would understand what is going on from God’s view as seen in the Scriptures, which is very different from the world’s view. He did not take the pamphlet or the Tanakh, but as he hurried away, he said it was good what they were doing.
An antisemitism pamphlet, a bookmark, and the Beth Ariel card were given to a Jewish woman. When asked whether she was following rabbinical Judaism, she said she was not. She stated that she already had a Tanakh and did not want to take the Brit Chadashah. She was in a hurry, but they explained what the Brit Chadashah was and discussed Yeshua, sin, and righteousness, and how righteousness can be found in the Messiah. They then read passages from the Isaiah 53 leaflet. She told them that she did not believe that Yeshua was the Messiah, so the team encouraged her to seek the truth.
One set in Hebrew/English was given to a Jewish man, who was very surprised to receive such a gift from the SDHS. He also received the antisemitism pamphlet, the comfort card, and the Beth Ariel card. They shook hands before he left.
A French Bible was given to a Moroccan Muslim man. He received the antisemitism pamphlet and responded that he was not antisemitic and had many Jewish friends. They emphasized the importance of understanding the times, noting that antisemitism was on the rise. One of the team members shared that she was a Messianic Jew and spoke with him about her faith. The man said he believed in Jesus as a prophet but not in His divinity. They shared passages from the Bible, especially Isaiah 9:6, and gave him the Isaiah 53 leaflet to read. They told him that only Yeshua could remove and forgive sins, as only God can do that. They explained that good works could not save him and offered him a Bible, which he accepted. They explained that the Bible was written before the Quran and that it was important to be reconciled with God. He received the antisemitism pamphlet, the Isaiah 53 leaflet, and the Beth Ariel card.
A Hebrew/English set was given to a Jewish woman, who was very happy to receive the Scriptures and all the literature.
As they presented the antisemitism pamphlet to a Jewish man, he asked whether they were associated with Jews for Jesus. A team member shared that she was a Messianic Jew, and the man left as soon as he heard this. However, they were able to speak further with him when he shared that he believed all Israel was saved. They replied by sharing Isaiah 10:22 and explained that only a remnant would be saved in Israel, and the same applied to the Gentiles.
They handed an antisemitism pamphlet to a woman and asked her if she was from the Jewish community. The woman looked at them, then, taking her cart, forcibly pushed it into the drop-off area. They left her there, but as they were walking, they saw her husband filming them from afar while sitting in the driver’s seat.
The team decided to finish their outing and went into the store to return something they had purchased. A sweet, elderly Jewish couple was nearby, and the wife approached the team members, visibly upset, and told them they had just had problems returning something at the pharmacy. She was distressed and shared the situation with them. She explained that the issue was not about the money but about the principle of returning the item. As they spoke and comforted her, a team member learned that they were both Jewish and had been married for more than 60 years. One of the team members shared that she was also Jewish, and they embraced. It was a perfect time to say they had a gift for them, as they shared their faith in Yeshua. The couple replied that they were not following rabbinical Judaism and were open to receiving the Tanakh and the Brit Chadashah. A team member quickly went to her car to get a Hebrew/French set and inserted the Isaiah 53 leaflet, the antisemitism pamphlet, and the comfort card into the gift pack. Returning with the gift, the couple was shocked to find it, and the woman saw the hand of God, saying that everything had turned out well. Telephone numbers were exchanged, and the woman shared that her best friend in school in Morocco had the same last name as one of the team members. The team was touched by this encounter, saying they, too, saw the hand of God. It was noted that the couple was reimbursed for their purchase.
One Tanakh was given to a Moroccan Jewish couple who were very surprised to receive such a lovely gift.
It was a wonderful outing; almost everyone was open to receiving the literature and to having a conversation. Praise God! All the glory is His!
Report for Friday, June 5th, 2026
2 sets were given, and many pamphlets were distributed as well.
Another team was out that day and reported that they had a conversation with an Italian gentleman. When he received the antisemitism pamphlet, he said he opposed antisemitism and had many Jewish friends. He told the team he was a Christian and believed good works could save him. In response, the team spoke about sin, shared the gospel with him, and explained that salvation is only by grace through faith. They also stressed the importance of knowing who Messiah Yeshua is and that the Bible teaches and describes Him. He said he had a Bible, and they encouraged him to take time to read it and listen to the teachings. They gave him the Beth Ariel contact card and an antisemitism pamphlet. He was very thankful and, before leaving, asked them for their names.
One set in English/Hebrew was given to a Jewish man. He was about to bring his mother out of the car when they approached him. He took the time to speak to them and received the set, the antisemitism pamphlet, and the Beth Ariel card. He was very quiet and thankful for the gifts.
They encountered a religious Jewish man who, upon learning they were followers of Yeshua, began insulting them, calling them idolatrous and asking how they could believe in Jesus, “a man.” They tried to speak, but he kept cutting them off. They asked whether he knew the prophecies about the Messiah and mentioned the passage in Isaiah 9:6, which clearly points to Yeshua’s divinity. They asked him to read the back of the pamphlet, where the passage in Proverbs 30:4 was written, but he refused and dismissed everything they said. As he left, he warned them not to be in the area.
They had a beautiful encounter with a religious Sephardic man who spoke French, English, and Hebrew. He was wearing a kippa and tzitzit. He received the antisemitism pamphlet in Hebrew and asked whether it spoke about Jesus. The team members explained that all the verses quoted are from the Tanakh, and a member shared that she was a Messianic Jew. The man listened quietly as the team members explained that they believed Yeshua is the Messiah because He fulfilled the prophecies in the Tanakh regarding His first coming and will return to reign in Jerusalem. They shared the prophecy in Daniel 9 and discussed the death of the Messiah, which was clearly stated in the passage. They handed him a bookmark so he could read in his own Tanakh about the prophecies regarding the Messiah. They told him that it had always been the minority who believed in the truth of the Word of God and mentioned the persecution of the true prophets of God. They gave an example from the prophet Jeremiah, and the man nodded in agreement. They shared about the many persecutions that the Jewish nation had endured at the hands of false Christians who distorted the Word of God and told them who the true Messiah was. They told him that he would be surprised to read the Brit Chadashah, as it is not a Roman Catholic book but a Jewish book written by Jewish men who believed that Yeshua was the true Messiah. They told him that everything going on with antisemitism was written in the Tanakh and that it was important to stay in the Scriptures. They also gave him the Isaiah 53 leaflet and shared that a first-century rabbi believed this passage spoke about the Messiah, not, as Rashi did, that it referred to the nation of Israel. They told him that this passage could not refer to Israel, because it spoke of the righteousness one could have in the Messiah and how one could be made tsadik before God. They informed him that no good works could make one approach God, as He is Holy. They then shared the passage in the Brit Chadashah, John 5:46: “If you believed, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.” The man listened attentively and received the antisemitism pamphlet, bookmark, Isaiah 53 leaflet, and the Beth Ariel card. They offered him the Brit Chadashah, but he chose not to take it. He was very thankful and placed everything in his car before leaving.
The team then saw a security car and decided to go to the other side of the center. There, they gave out pamphlets and one set in Hebrew/English to a Jewish woman accompanied by her caregiver. She was very elegant and accepted everything, noting that it was a gift. She received the antisemitism pamphlet, comfort card, and the Beth Ariel card. She was very sweet and funny.
The team remarked that it was a wonderful outing and a blessing to share the salvation found in Yeshua! All the praise and glory are to Him!
