3 sets, 1 Tanakh and 1 Bible were distributed.

A team of two were at a mall they had visited recently. Their first conversation was with a man who said he had already received the set at another mall and that he recognized one of the ladies present. He said he was from Morocco and had also lived in Israel. There was a long 25-minute conversation which followed. The topic was sin and how he could be reconciled with God through Yeshua. They pointed to Isaiah 53, and how Yeshua can make one righteous or “tzadik” as he understood and read Hebrew. They told him that only a very small minority believed this. They spoke about the persecution of the true prophets of God, Isaiah and Jeremiah. The man said that he highly esteemed Rambam (Maimonides) so they warned him not to put his trust in a man but to rely on God and in the Scriptures. He took a Beth Ariel contact card and the antisemitism tract in Hebrew and encouraged him to listen to the testimony of their rabbi who also spoke about Maimonides. He offered his phone number for the rabbi to call him. It was a very endearing encounter and said they enjoyed his sense of humor. He also received a hostage pin.

One set in French was given to a man with whom they also had a long conversation. He also was from Morocco and he told them some stories that he had while in his native country. As he shared these stories, they were very touched by his kindness, love, and wanting to do good. They told him about the difference between religion and having a relationship with God and informed him that they believed that Yeshua was the Messiah. They shared about the importance of being reconciled to God through Yeshua, the Messiah. They also told him about the atonement for sin, and the redemption through the sinless blood of the Messiah that was shed for men’s souls. They quoted Leviticus 17: 11, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.” They spoke of the fall of man, the sacrifices needed at Yom Kippur and of the final sacrifice for sin that is found in Yeshua, the Messiah. They stressed the importance of reconciliation with God and shared the prophecy in Daniel 12: 2.  He took a Beth Ariel card and a hostage pin. The team said they were touched by this man.

As the team was about to leave, they met a woman who took the antisemitism tract. The team shared that so much of what was happening in the world today was already written about in the Bible. She was very surprised to hear about the larger picture which covered the inception of Israel and her growth despite the persecution throughout the ages. They gave her the example of Moses (Pharaoh wanted to kill the baby boys) and how a decree was issued in the first century by Herod the Great to kill all the male children 2 years and under when Yeshua was born. She agreed with these statements and received a French Bible, a Beth Ariel contact card and an invitation to visit the congregation or to listen on the internet and radio. She was very thankful and grateful.

At another mall, they gave a set in English to a woman who when she received the antisemitism pamphlet asked why these things were happening. They replied that the hatred was spiritual and was called an everlasting hatred in the Bible and is considered a rebellion toward God.  She was told that the Brit Chadashah was written by Jewish men and that the Messiah came from the Jewish nation and that He is coming back soon to reign in Jerusalem. They referred to Zechariah 2: 8b “For he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye”. They talked about the Abrahamic Covenant assuring her that the nation of Israel would never be destroyed and how God kept and is keeping a remnant of believers. They spoke about their faith in Yeshua and presented the Tanakh and the Brit. She was hesitant to take it saying that she would not read it but finally received the gift and the Beth Ariel contact card. She said that she would listen and was then given the Isaiah 53 leaflet, and hostage pin as they hugged each other and told her to call if she desired to have a visit.

One set in Hebrew was given to a man in his thirties. He was happy to receive the set and said, “This is my lucky day!” and they responded by saying that it was God who was calling him. They spoke about Yeshua and His two comings and explained that he could read these prophecies in the Tanakh and how He fulfilled them during His first coming as can be read  in the Brit Hadashah. He was very touched and listened carefully to what was said and he received a pin and a contact card and was invited to visit the congregation.

They then went to a third mall where they had a long conversation with an elegant woman who was a Holocaust survivor. She was from Romania and shared some of the atrocities that took place. It was a very grievous and emotional moment for her and they shared their heartache over the antisemitism that was going on in the world. She said that she believed that there are many good people in the world and that it was important to tell the next generation about this grief. They spoke of their faith in Yeshua and she responded saying,“Yeshua, Jesus was a Jew!” They spoke of sin and reconciliation with God through faith in Yeshua and of the blood shed by Yeshua referring to Leviticus 17: 11. She understood the need of blood for the atonement of sin and about the sacrifices done at Yom Kippur. She told them that a Christian woman has been calling her and keeping in touch with her and even called her right away on October 7th after the horrific events that happened. She was given the Beth Ariel card and asked if she would like a visit from them. She accepted this offer and gave them her number. She did not take a set but received the antisemitism pamphlet, the Beth Ariel card, and a hostage pin which they pinned to her sweater. They hugged each other and as they left they whispered to her that they wanted her to be part of the Kingdom of God and they thought they heard her say, “yes!  She also said that “it is good what you are doing!”

One Tanakh was given to a woman who was with her son. When she understood that they believed in Yeshua, she handed the Brit back and shared that her husband would not want to receive this book. She kept the Tanakh and the antisemitism tract.

The team stated that it was a wonderful outing and they were thankful to God that during these times of great persecution toward the nation of Israel they were able to go and bring His word to the Jewish people and to the nations. They were thankful for all the conversations, His guidance and protection. They said that it was a great comfort to know that He was in control of everything and that He was the One who can save! They ask for prayer for the ministry and thank the many who are partnering with them. All the glory is His!

2 sets, 2 Tanakh, 1 Arabic Bible, 1 Spanish Bible and many pamphlets were given.

A team of two were out on a hot day at a large, local mall.  There they met a Jewish man who stated that he saw himself as traditional. He attended Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah synagogue services. He spoke with an air of thankfulness and the team quickly turned the conversation to Yeshua and John 3:16. They informed him that Yeshua was the promised Messiah who had come and would return to reign in Jerusalem. He took only the BA contact card, saying he did not want the gift set but interestingly was willing to visit the congregation. During the conversation he seemed emotional as he listened.  Please pray for this gentleman.

An English Bible was offered to a Muslim man from Algeria, but he refused to take it. He listened quietly as the team opened the gospel message to him and then asked what the difference was between the Old and New Testament. They told him that the New Testament spoke of the fulfillment of the prophecies written in the Old Testament regarding Yeshua, the Messiah. He was told how sin kept us from approaching God and receiving forgiveness from Him but He had provided a way for that needed redemption. That redemption, they told him, was through God’s son who came to earth to provide His pure, spotless blood as an atonement for the sin of the world. Hearing this, the man accepted an Arabic Bible instead and they could see that his countenance had changed.

They then met a Jewish couple with two small children at their car. They gave them the comfort card, antisemitism pamphlet and two hostage pins. They were surprised when they were offered a gift of a Tanakh and when they heard it was free, they smiled and took it willingly after they were informed that it came from the SDHS. They were shown the Brit Chadashah and told it was written by Jewish authors who believed that Yeshua was the Messiah.  Taking the Tanakh, they said they were not allowed to receive the Brit but thanked the team and thanked them for what they were doing.

They approached a Jewish lady who wanted to have a hostage pin like the one they were wearing. She accepted the antisemitism pamphlet and comfort card and thanked them as she left.

Then, a Jewish man was approached and offered a Tanakh. He wanted to know if it was Sephardic, Ashkenazi or Orthodox in its writings. A member smiled and told him that it was the same Hebrew as seen in the synagogues but on hearing, he ended up by taking only the pamphlet and card only.

A Spanish speaking lady was approached, and she accepted a pamphlet but then asked if they had a Spanish Bible.  The team was grateful that they had one in the car and quickly went to get it.  The woman waited and was happy for her new gift and thanked them for their kindness.

A Jewish man was at his car when the team approached him. He was busy putting the last of his groceries in his trunk but took the offered Tanakh. He was asked if he also wanted the Brit to which he accepted. He also received the pamphlet and contact card.

Leaving there, the team went to another mall some distance away. When they arrived the security car was parked near a main entrance, so the team decided to visit the mall while they waited for him to leave. One of the members had a short conversation with a woman who said she was a Jehovah Witness. The member inquired if she believed in Jesus and as she responded by saying she did not believe He was the Son of God. The member told the woman that He was the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and He was the great I Am. The woman listened but her husband arrived at that point and the conversation ended.

They met a man who said his father was Jewish but that he was not and that he leaned more to his mother’s side.  Listening to the team speak about Yeshua, the Messiah, he was offered the Tanakh. He was about to refuse to take it but realized he could give the gift to his father and a big smile lit his face. He took the set, a pamphlet and the contact card so that he could listen to the messages on-line.

A Catholic gentleman was approached and learning about the team’s purpose there, he said that he was pro-Israel. He said that he had Jewish relatives on his father’s side and was happy to take the set for his father as well as the contact card for himself.  He mentioned to the team that he had realized that the Palestinians provoked the Jewish people and a member replied that Israel had a right to defend herself. He was very touched by the conversation and the gift and thanked the team for spending time with him.

A Jewish lady passing by was approached and she offered her name. She engaged in a small conversation with the team and received a hostage pin and pamphlet. As she had given a small personal testimony, they asked if they could pray in Yeshua’s name for her and so they prayed for her protection as she made plans to travel to Israel. She had said that she had to cancel her trip recently but hoped to still be able to go.  She was very thankful for the prayer.

1 Tanakh and 1 Bible were given.

A team of two ladies were out on a hot day at a local mall.  One bible was given to a non-practicing Muslim man from Iran. He was open to hearing the gospel being presented and they spent a few moments sharing their faith with him. He was interested in learning more and received an English Bible from them.

They then went to another mall and approached a Jewish man from Morocco. He accepted the Tanakh but was not ready to take the Brit Chadashah. He was thankful for the gift, and they continued to have a small conversation with him.

They met a Jewish lady then and had a small conversation regarding the Messiah. She took the comfort card and pamphlet and then asked them what organization they were with. They informed her that they were volunteers with the Society that Distributes Hebrew Scriptures and then went on to share their Messianic faith and how they believed Yeshua was the Messiah. She listened intently and did not answer her cell phone when it was ringing.

The team approached a man who had rode into the parking lot on a motorcycle. They approached him and offered him an antisemitism pamphlet. There was a fifteen-minute conversation with this man regarding the Old Testament, the Talmud, and Christians. He wanted to speak about the Quran to the team but was patient as they offered the gospel to him. They gave him the Beth Ariel contact card and encouraged him to speak with their Messianic rabbi, Pastor Jacques Gabizon. He was surprised to hear that Jewish people believed in Yeshua was the Messiah. The team stated that it was a nice conversation, and they pray that he goes online to listen to the messages.

The team was very thankful for all the prayers that were offered up for them and thanked God for His faithfulness to them.
