It was a warm and sunny day with some short periods of rain and we were thankful and grateful to God that we were able to go out.
Two sets, and one Tanakh, plus many antisemitism pamphlets and comfort cards were distributed. Some yellow hostage pins were given as well. The team did not stay long at the first mall but pamphlets and comfort cards were given out before the rain disturbed their stay there. As the team arrived at the second mall the rain stopped.
The first set and a Tanakh were given to a man who when seeing the pamphlet started speaking very loudly and angrily. A member commented saying, “He was looking for a time of vengeance to come on [who he considered] the enemy”. As they spoke with him he shared that many of his family members had died in Israel and the team sympathized with him and were able to share their faith. They told him that peace would come only when the Messiah, Yeshua returned to reign in Jerusalem. They spoke about sin and explained that only God could change the heart of man. They told him that only a remnant would be saved and so it was important that he be part of that remnant and be reconciled with God through Yeshua. He was given the Isaiah 53 leaflet to read and a contact card with the website of their pastor’s teachings. They offered him a set in English but he chose to have a Russian and Hebrew set instead. He took a Tanakh to give as a gift to his son. He was very touched and before leaving and with watery eyes, he shared that his mother was in the hospital. The team asked if they could pray together for her but he had to leave quickly.
Another set in French was given to a Jewish man from Morocco. The team shared that they believed that Yeshua was the Messiah and how only He could make one tzadik (righteous) as this man was telling them that he was a good Jew. However the man ended by saying he also believed that Yeshua is the Messiah! They then gave him the Isaiah 53 leaflet and read some of the verses to him. They then shared concerning the New Covenant in Jeremiah 31: 31 and how that prophecy would be fully fulfilled when the Messiah comes back. The man was smiling all the time and was so joyful. When they handed him the Beth Ariel card and mentioned that their rabbi was from Morocco, the gentleman asked for his name. Saying that that name was familiar, he was then encouraged to give the Pastor a call. He shared that he was married for 63 years, had children, grand-children and great grandchildren. He said that he often went to Israel and would live there if it was not for all his family living in Canada. He was also given two pins, and was overwhelmed with the gifts. The team hugged this man and told him that they were also touched to have met him to which he responded in kind and lifted up his hands.
They met a man from Ireland and spoke to him about Jesus. A friend of his approached just then and heard part of the conversation. He was surprised to hear that some Jewish people believed in Jesus. They shared that at the beginning of the church there were only Jewish believers and then because of persecution many were killed for their faith. They told them that the word of God was written by Jewish men and that a remnant of the Jewish nation who believed in Jesus exists today and that there was also a remnant of Gentile believers in the church. Continuing about the Messiah, he said that he thought that Jesus was Michael, the archangel. They corrected him and told him that Yeshua was divine and is God. They shared Isaiah 9: 6 with them and spoke about how only God could remove and forgive sin. The men were each given a Beth Ariel contact card, and told they could listen to the messages online. They were invited to the Wednesday Bible study and one of the men said that it might be possible for them to attend. They already had a Bible but received the pamphlets.
A religious man was approached by one of the team members. He refused the comfort card when he heard about her faith in Yeshua. He answered that they did not have the correct Torah and believed that Yeshua Himself had a rabbi. The man was very polite but the team reflected that the man needed to be saved. They said that they prayed for the man’s salvation!
It was a great outing and they thanked God for His faithfulness and goodness. They said they did not want to forget to thank all those who were praying for this great ministry. Praise be to God!

4 sets (1 Spanish, 1 Russian, 2 English), 1 Brit Chadashah, 1 English Bible were given.
On this sunny day, a team of two were at a large shopping area for approximately one half hour. It was not a day that the Jewish people were out doing their Shabbat shopping there so after handing out several antisemitism pamphlets they decided to move on to another mall.
At this new mall an English Bible was given to an Iranian Muslim man who stated that although he was Muslim, he did not follow or agree with that faith. Immediately, he was offered a Bible which he gladly took. The team shared the messianic viewpoint and spoke about the forgiveness of sin, and how forgiveness could only be received through Yeshua and by having a personal relationship with Him. He was invited to visit Beth Ariel congregation and was given a contact card to listen to the pastor’s teachings or to call the office if he had further questions.
A Russian set was given to a young man from Moldova and he was very thankful. As he had some knowledge of English, the team shared the salvation message with him and how the Messiah would return to rule and reign in Jerusalem. He was very appreciative.
They then met a Spanish speaking woman who was walking past and appeared to be very upset. The team approached her and she informed them that she had lost everything in an apartment fire only days before. She said that she had no means to provide for herself and as she said that she had friends who were Jewish, a gift set was given to her in Spanish so that she could be comforted and bless the Jewish friends as well. She stated that it was the very best gift she could ever receive and so the team prayed with her for restoration of all that she had lost and that the words of God would comfort her. She was given the Beth Ariel contact card as well as a small gift.
The team met a couple from the United States who stated that they were believers in Jesus. It was a joyous occasion to speak to this lively couple and so they took a time of prayer with them petitioning the Lord for safety for their return trip. The couple gave a blessing to the team as they left.
One of the team members met a Jewish couple who was sitting in their car with the window down. They were in their mid-sixties and the wife was the one at the wheel. Introducing herself, she informed her that she was from Casablanca and that her husband was from the southern border of Spain. Both she and her husband were very happy to receive the set offered them. She was given two hostage pins, the pamphlet and the bookmark to identify the verses which spoke about the Messiah. They smiled and thanked her saying that she made their day.
At the same time, the other member met a woman who said she was from Israel. She was offered the Tanakh but she said that her husband had many books, however, she was happy to take a Brit Chadashah, a pamphlet and a contact card.
The team came across a man who recognized them just as he was entering his car. He called out saying that he knew them. He had received a set from them several months before and he was asked if he was reading the scriptures. He replied that he had read some scriptures and the team told him that it was very important to reinforce his knowledge of the word so they gave him another contact card and an antisemitism pamphlet as he said he did not have that one. He thanked them for the gifts and left.
The team met a Jewish man who was dressed in black and white and had tzitzit. He was shading himself from the sun by sitting in the back of his hatchback car. He was very congenial and made small talk with the team. He was told that they were volunteers with the SDHS and offered him a Tanakh but he said he would not know where to put it as he had many books concerning the scriptures. He stated he was originally from Toronto but was living with his relatives in an eastern suburb of Montreal. They asked if they could pray for him in the name of Yeshua, and he accepted. He thanked the team and told them that he enjoyed their conversation.
They then met a Moroccan Jewish woman who initiated a conversation about the Jewish viewpoint of scripture and the team was happy to join her in conversation, but then told her that they were Messianic believers in Yeshua. She listened intently and then accepted a set from them. They explained the contents and the authors of the Brit Chadashah and she still wanted to take the Brit Chadashah. She was given a hostage pin, antisemitism pamphlet and contact card as well. She was thankful for all the gifts and said that it was good what the team was doing.
The team was blessed by the many conversations and thanked all the prayer warriors for covering them with prayer. Most of all, they wanted to praise God for His faithfulness and protective covering over them.
