Five sets and two Bibles were distributed.
This was the first outing where the teams began distributing pamphlets and cards for Hanukkah and said they had a wonderful time sharing the Scriptures. On this day, a team of two visited two malls. At the first mall, one set in Hebrew and English was given to a Jewish woman who initially did not want to receive the gift. As the team spoke with her and shared about Hanukkah and the value of God’s word, she decided to accept the entire set. Additionally, she took a Hanukkah pamphlet, a card, a pin, and the Beth Ariel contact card.
An elderly Jewish couple in their car received a set in Hebrew/English. The husband noticed they had something to give, so he slightly opened his car door to accept the Hanukkah pamphlet and card. When they offered the Tanakh, he said he already owned one. They asked if he had only the Torah or the entire Tanakh, then explained that many prophecies in the Tanakh foretold of the Messiah and the importance of recognizing Him. He asked to see the book and decided to accept it. He also received the Brit Chadashah as they shared their faith in Yeshua, the Messiah. He took the Beth Ariel card as well, and the couple was very thankful. It was a touching encounter that moved the team.
A Bible in French was given to a Romanian Orthodox couple who did not have one and gladly accepted it. The team explained that the Old and New Testaments are one book called the Bible. They emphasized the importance of knowing God and understanding who Jesus is as revealed in the Scriptures. They also told the couple that many false Christians would appear in the end times, as mentioned in Matthew 7: 22-23. The couple received an anti-Semitism pamphlet and a Beth Ariel card, and they were encouraged to read and listen to the pastor’s teachings. They were invited to visit the Beth Ariel Congregation and encouraged to confirm their salvation. They appreciated all the gifts and information.
A set in Hebrew/English was given to a Jewish woman who was accompanied by her friend, whom the team had met previously and who had received a set from the team at that time. This friend was so happy to see them and shared with her friend that she had already taken a set from them. The team explained the Brit Chadashah and mentioned that the book was pure. As the team talked about Yeshua, the woman said she believed only in HaShem. The team then shared the verse in Deuteronomy 6:4 and explained that the word echad was used, meaning one in plurality, the same word used in Genesis 2:24 describing the echad, or oneness of a married couple. They explained that throughout the Tanakh, you can read about the Father, the Son, and the Ruach HaKodesh. She received the Isaiah 53 leaflet to read as they discussed sin, emphasizing that only Yeshua can make someone tsadik and that no amount of good works can make someone righteous before God. She understood that all men are sinners, and they spoke about King David and Abraham being justified by faith, as in Habakkuk 2:4. She was encouraged to be reconciled to God, noting that only a remnant will be saved, referencing Daniel 12:2. A Beth Ariel card was given to her, and both women expressed their gratitude. Everyone hugged before the team left.
A Berber woman received a Bible in French. The team had an in-depth conversation with her about the divinity of Yeshua, the Messiah, sharing verses like Proverbs 30:4 about God having a Son. They reminded her that she is God’s creation and discussed how she could become a child of God, as stated in John 1:12. She asked many questions, and the team provided clear answers. She was given the Beth Ariel card and encouraged to read, listen, and seek the truth.
At the second mall, two sets were given to a Jewish Moroccan man. One set in Hebrew only was for his brother, and a bilingual Hebrew/English set was for him. They emphasized the importance of God’s word and shared about their faith in Yeshua. He responded by saying that God is One. They then explained the term echad and discussed the divinity of the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh. One of the team members mentioned she was a Biblical Jew, not a Rabbinical Jew. He received all the literature along with the Isaiah 53 leaflet. They talked about sin and how God desires each man and woman’s heart. He was also given the Beth Ariel card and two pins, and he felt overwhelmed by all the gifts but was very thankful and grateful.
The team expressed gratitude to God for the wonderful outing and all the conversations they had. Everyone they spoke with received the words that were spoken, except for one Gentile man. They thank all those who prepared the pamphlets and cards for Hanukkah and also appreciate everyone who prays for this ministry. All the praise, glory, and thanksgiving belong to Him!
Amen!

One set including two copies of the Tanakh and one Bible.
This team was out on a very cold, windy, and rainy day. They visited two different malls, but there were not many people shopping due to the weather. At the first mall, they approached a young Muslim man sitting in his car. He rolled down his window to speak as they approached and listened quietly as they explained their presence at the mall. He said he was seeking the truth, so the team explained the Messianic viewpoint, sin, and the forgiveness of sin through the blood atonement provided by the Messiah, Yeshua. They discussed the importance of repenting of sin and how forgiveness can only be achieved through the blood atonement paid by the Messiah. They also explained that faith and repentance in this sacrificial act would grant eternal salvation. They offered him a Bible to read more about these topics, and he accepted. He took a French Bible, an anti-Semitism pamphlet, and a Beth Ariel contact card. The team prayed with him for God to reveal Himself and for his salvation. It was a very moving moment as he bowed his head and touched his hand to his heart.
They then met a Jewish woman who was in a very joyful mood. She promptly took the Hanukkah pamphlet and card and accepted a Tanakh as well. She was offered the Brit Chadashah but declined, saying she preferred to only have the Tanakh.
At the second mall, the team met a woman who claimed she was a Holocaust survivor. She told the team that she was two years old when her family fled Hungary, moving first to France and then to Canada. She accepted the Tanakh, and after seeing the Brit Chadashah, she wanted it too. She was very happy to receive her gifts and thanked the team.
They met a very religious man who received the Hanukkah pamphlet and card. He was offered the Tanakh, but at first he refused, saying that if it contained the name of Jesus, he did not want it. He was reassured that it was the same Scripture used in the synagogues, so he hesitantly accepted it. They explained that they themselves were Messianic and that their rabbi, Rabbi Jacques Isaac Gabizon, came from a line of rabbis in Morocco. They mentioned that they believed Yeshua was the Messiah and the Prince of Peace, who had come as the spotless lamb and the atonement for mankind to take away their sins. He listened quietly and finally agreed to accept the Tanakh. He also took the business card.
Finally, they met a French-speaking man who wanted to get a Tanakh but was having trouble walking because of a leg injury and couldn’t carry an extra bag at the moment. He took the contact card and said he would call the office because he wanted to eventually receive the Tanakh. He also took the business card and pamphlet.
The team was grateful for the prayers offered that day because of the bad weather, and for the grace given by Yeshua and the protection of the Holy Spirit.
