One Tanakh and several Hanukkah pamphlets were distributed.

A team of two was out on a very cold and windy day, with wind speeds of 45 km/hr. They visited two malls, but the wind was so strong that no one outside that day wanted to stop and accept literature. One brave woman, a Hebrew teacher, stopped long enough to receive a Tanakh and a Hanukkah pamphlet, and the team quickly told her that they were Messianic and supported Israel. She received the Tanakh, then quickly entered a store and called out a thank-you to the team.

Another man in his car took the pamphlet and said he knew all about the Hebrew Scriptures. He didn’t take the gift set but thanked the team for being out there, and as he closed his car door, he expressed his gratitude.

At that point, the team realized that no one would stop to take a pamphlet, so they decided to go and buy some items for the gift bags they would be handing out the following week. They thanked everyone for praying for them, as it warmed their hearts to know they had a prayer covering.

Report from Team #1

Five sets and one Tanakh were given.

The team reported that they were still distributing the antisemitism and Hanukkah pamphlets. They expressed that it was a meaningful and joyful experience for them to give out the Scriptures during this season and reflected on God’s faithfulness toward Israel. There were fewer conversations because they aimed to reach as many people as possible with pamphlets and gift bags. On that day, three team members rotated through different positions.

A Jewish woman in her 30s received a Tanakh in Hebrew and English. She was very happy to get the card and pamphlet for Hanukkah and was surprised to be offered a free Tanakh, which she accepted, but she declined the Brit Chadashah. She was given the Isaiah 53 leaflet as they discussed the redemption she could find through the Messiah. She was very thankful and grateful, telling the team that what they were doing was good.

A Jewish woman received a set in Hebrew and English and was very happy to get the Scriptures. She mentioned she wanted to buy a Torah. They highlighted the importance of also having a Tanakh. She received the Hanukkah card, pamphlet, the Isaiah 53 leaflet, and the Beth Ariel card. They encouraged her to read Isaiah 53 in the Tanakh during Hanukkah. She was very thankful and grateful for the gift, and they hugged her before leaving.

The team also spoke with two different Jewish individuals who said they had already received the set but took the pamphlet and the comfort card for Hanukkah.

The team member was now alone: one set in Hebrew and English was given to an elderly Jewish man. When he saw the size of the Tanakh, he responded that he could not take it because he would never read it. The team member explained that this was a gift for him and his entire family, and there was no obligation for him to read it. He accepted the Tanakh and also the Brit Chadashah because the team member explained that the book was the New Testament. He received the pamphlet, the Hanukkah comfort card, and the Beth Ariel contact card. Having accepted the entire gift, the man handed the bag to his daughter, who thanked the team for the gift.

A set in Hebrew and English was given to a man who had just entered his car. He received the entire set and was very surprised to get such a gift. He accepted the pamphlet and the comfort card for Hanukkah, as well as the Beth Ariel card.

A set in Hebrew and English was given to a young Jewish woman who initially told the team she was not a local resident and said she was from the United States. The team member explained that the gift was for her, so she took the entire set, including the pamphlet, the Hanukkah comfort card, and the Beth Ariel contact card. She then thanked the member and left quickly, explaining that she was in a hurry.

One set was given in Hebrew and English to a woman. She was very happy to receive the gift, the pamphlet, the comfort card for Hanukkah, and the Beth Ariel card.

The team member spoke with a Moroccan man who had received a set from the other two members of the team but accepted the Hanukkah pamphlet and the comfort card from her. He was very thankful and smiled the entire time.

Report from Team #2

Two sets, two Tanakh, one Brit Chadashah, and one Bible were given.

This team of two was out on Friday, December 5th, in the same area as Team #1. One team member was on her own for a while and distributed 1 Tanakh in English, 1 Tanakh in French, and 1 Brit Chadashah. The English Tanakh was given to a woman who was in a hurry but was very happy to accept the Scripture. The French Tanakh was handed to two Jewish women who first accepted a Hanukkah pamphlet, and one man received the Brit.

Two more sets were given out. The first set was given to a young lady who said she was a business owner with several Jewish clients. She accepted a gift set in English and took a Bible for herself in English. She had previously accepted the Hanukkah pamphlet.

The second set was given to two Russian Jewish women who wanted a Russian set. They also took the Hanukkah pamphlets and cards and were very thankful.

The teams thank God for this wonderful outing and for all the pamphlets, cards, and Scriptures that were handed out. Please join them in prayer that these materials will be read and that many will listen to the word on the radio and internet. Also, pray for their salvation.

Thank you, Lord!
