1 set, and 1 Brit Chadashah were given.
Two teams were out on this particular day.
One Brit Chadashah was given to a Jewish man in a hurry. They also offered him the Tanakh, but he said he already had one. He received the antisemitism pamphlet and the Beth Ariel card, and he thanked the team.
The team then met a Jewish man who had already received the antisemitism pamphlet and a set. They asked him whether he was reading his scriptures, and he replied that he was. They also asked whether he was listening to the messages on the internet, and he responded that he sometimes was. The team encouraged him to continue seeking the truth and found that he had a very pleasant countenance, was very polite, and very thankful.
At the second mall, the team gave a set in English and Hebrew to a Jewish man who was very happy to receive the Scriptures. They discussed sin and righteouness, explaining that atonement can be found in Yeshua, the Messiah, as they handed him the Isaiah 53 leaflet. They also discussed the Messiah’s Jewishness, shared the genealogy of Yeshua found in the Brit Chadashah, and explained that the New Testament was written by Jewish men who believed Yeshua was the Messiah. The team gave him the comfort card and the Beth Ariel card, and he was very grateful.
A Jewish woman, accompanied by her caregiver, received the antisemitism pamphlet and the Beth Ariel card. They discussed their faith in Yeshua/Jesus, the two comings of the Messiah, sin and righteousness, and how these can be found in the Messiah.
At another mall, the team met a Jewish man who said he knew everything about antisemitism while they were handing him the pamphlet. He shared that he was Chabad, and one team member told him she did not follow rabbinical Judaism but Biblical Judaism. They explained the difference between religion and a personal relationship with God, and about being reconciled with Him through the Messiah. They told him this as they spoke about sin. A team member handed him the Isaiah 53 leaflet, and they read some of the passages with him. He asked the team why they were doing this, and they explained the importance of returning to the Word of God. They shared that everything one needs to know is written in the Scriptures, and that by the Scriptures one can understand what is going on in the world as it relates to antisemitism, sin, and salvation. He responded that he believed and followed the Oral Law, and they informed him that the Oral Law was given much later and written by men, whereas the Scriptures are inspired by God. They shared the importance of staying in the Scriptures and explained that when someone departs from the Word of God, they cannot see and are made blind to the truth. The team then shared how this happened when Yeshua came, and how the majority of the religious leaders could not recognize the Messiah because of their blindness. They shared that it was always the minority who believed, who believe today, or will believe in the truth. He received the comfort card, the antisemitism pamphlet, and the Isaiah 53 leaflet, but did not receive the set.
The team then spoke to another Jewish man who said he kept the traditions of his fathers and the words of the rabbis. As the team began to speak about Yeshua/Jesus, he became offended, remarked that they were the ones who were antisemitic, and began to question one of the team members about being Jewish. They stopped the conversation then, as they saw the man was becoming more troubled and agitated. He did take the antisemitism pamphlet, however.
The team thanked God for His protection and for all the encounters they had, and they were grateful to everyone who was praying for this ministry and to those who are part of it.

Team #2
3 Bibles were given.
This team gave an English Bible to a woman and her son. The son spoke more English with the team and told them he knew the gospel and believed it. They said they were Catholic but didn’t own a Bible, except for one on the mother’s phone. The team then encouraged them to read the Word and to hold its teaching above any human teachings. They were happy to receive their first Bible!
The team also met a man who said he was from the MicMac nation (one of the indigenous peoples of Quebec). He already had a Bible and believed in Yeshua, but having just moved to Montreal, he didn’t yet have a congregation. He was very interested in visiting their congregation and made sure he knew exactly how to get there! He said he looked forward to finding a community, and the team said they hoped to see him soon!
They met a dear Algerian man who told the team he was for all of humanity, and the team agreed, saying God was too. Eventually, they shared John 3:16 with him, which was all new to his ears – the whole Bible was, in fact! He seemed quite convicted by the message and accepted a French Bible to take home. One poignant thing he said was, “I am not a sinner because I don’t hurt anybody else, just myself,” gesturing to his cigarette. The team corrected him, explaining that his life mattered too and that God did not want him to hurt himself. He was thankful for the gift of Scripture.
One of the members shared with a Filipino woman she invited to their congregation, and the woman accepted a French Bible. She walked by the team two more times afterward, exclaiming, “I am so happy because I have a Bible!”
One of the members noted that it’s not the harvest that is lacking; it’s only the laborers who are too few. The teams saw how thirsty people were for God’s Word!
