When she was backing up her car, she rolled down the window and said how she appreciated what we were doing. We offered her a bible but she said, “No thank you, I am Jewish”. So, we offered her a Tanakh and explained the identity of the Jewish Messiah.

We would first like to bring you back to Saturday January 8, which was not reported in our last newsletter:

We were one team of two people and though it was -20C outside, we stayed strong right through our outreach. Ninety-six pamphlets and one English/Hebrew bible set was given out.

We were standing in front of the store when we offered a pamphlet to a woman who asked what it spoke about. We told her it concerned Jesus and she said, “That is something that the world today needs to hear.”  When she was backing up her car, she rolled down the window and said how she appreciated what we were doing. We offered her a bible but she said, “No thank you, I am Jewish”. So, we offered her a Tanakh and explained the identity of the Jewish Messiah. She took the full set and the Isaiah 53 leaflet as well.  She actually said she believed that Yeshua is the Messiah and we directed her to the website, BethAriel, and gave her the information in how to reach us. We also offered to come to her home if she wanted to discuss or learn further.  It was a beautiful encounter.

We also met a Jewish Russian man who was very kind and though he did not take the set we had a good conversation, explaining who the Messiah was. He did receive a pamphlet though.  We also spoke with a Gentile believer who was very encouraging and said we should keep on going with this work.

A team of two went out into a Jewish district and a total of 43 anti-Semitism pamphlets were given plus some Isaiah 53 pamphlets and bookmarks. Two sets were given out, one in French and the other set in English.

The set in French was given to a woman whose husband is Jewish. We spoke about religion, and we explained that being Jewish is a nationality, a lineage and that Jewish descendancy is from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. She said that this information cleared up many things for her. We spoke about how the Messiah came and would be coming back. We offered the Tanakh but when she saw the New Testament she said, “I’ll take only take the Tanakh”. We explained that the Brit Chadeshah contained the messianic prophecies fulfilled by the Messiah. She was very thankful and ended up taking the full set. We mentioned our web site and she said that she would share this with a Jewish friend of hers.

An English set was given to a Jewish woman, and we spoke about the righteousness of Messiah and showed her Isaiah 53, indicating that He alone can make us righteous. She received both the Tanakh and the Brit Chadeshah. We explained how important reconciliation with God is and pointed her to Daniel chapter 12 and the choice of two eternal paths that would be taken by each person. We told her about our website, and the messages that are there. We also met another Gentile believer who was very encouraging and very thankful that we were going out to share the Word. This believer said that she herself should be doing this kind of work and we had a short time of prayer together.

Thursday, Jan 13th 2022 was a cold and windy day but our team of three people gave out 62 anti-Semitism pamphlets and 5 bible sets.

One set was offered to a woman who asked what the Brit Chadeshah was. We answered that it contained the writings about the New Covenant spoken of in Jeremiah. We told her how these prophecies will lead to Messiah’s return and reign in Jerusalem.  She was also given an Isaiah 53 pamphlet, which explains that only the Messiah can make us tsadik, that is, righteous.  A bookmark was also given her.

Another set was given to a woman who had a friend who was orthodox so she took the set and pamphlets for her.  Praise God for faithful friends!

The team spoke to a woman about the arrival of the Messiah and how He came once before and would come again.  With surprise and gratefulness, she received the gift set.  We thank God for the time of fellowship with His people, giving Him all the praise.

Two other sets were given out.  One was given to an elderly fragile woman returning to her car with a load of groceries.  Accepting the pamphlet and saying she would read it later, we offered her a gift set.  She hesitated saying that her husband already had one, but then turned back to us and said she would take one for her son. We will pray that her son accepts the set and finds the Son who can carry every person’s sin.  Another gentleman accepted the gift set at the door of his car and said that he would look at it once he got home.  Please pray that these 5 gift sets will bring the light to these peoples’ hearts and souls.
